Born in Peru, raised in Kansas and now a forever Californian, DJ Ana Calderon has as diverse a background as the tunes she drops in the DJ booth. The daughter of a psych musician father and back-packing artist mother, Ana Calderon was born into a culture of music, adventure and art.
Ana got her start in music heading up Steve Aoki’s LA-based record label Dim Mak. Working alongside Aoki she honed her DJ skills and began throwing some of LA’s most notorious parties. She is currently a resident at new Hollywood hot-spot Bar Lis as well as the music director and main resident DJ at the super exclusive Soho Warehouse DTLA.
In the last decade she has traveled with Radiohead as their warm up & after-party DJ, worked on special events with music legends such as Paul McCartney, Daft Punk, Billie Eilish and The Strokes, has been prominently found on the party scene DJing at major gatherings like Coachella, Art Basel, SXSW, NYFW, Sundance, Tribeca Film, The Grammy’s, The Emmy’s, The Golden Globes and The Oscars (where in 2020, right before lockdowns, she DJ’d the official Oscar night party for best picture winner PARASITE). Among her recent top-level client roster are Disney, Apple TV, FX, HBO/Max, Amazon Studios, Hulu, Peacock, Netflix and Universal.

Ana’s DJ sets spring more from feeling than formula pulling from a wide spectrum of genres that include world beats, R&B, indie, hip-hop, soul, disco, Latinx, funk, classic rock/post punk and pop.
Her close-knit friend group includes the crème de la crème players from the worlds of Film/TV, fashion, tech, art and music. Aside from DJing, Ana is often sought out for her curatorial and consulting skills. She has worked as music supervisor and is often hired by top PR agencies for her talent & VIP outreach for events, special projects and campaigns.
When she’s not DJing, Ana enjoys making ceramics, hugging Redwood trees and cooking for friends. She completed her training under Al Gore to become part of the International Climate Reality Leadership Corps. She is also the co-founder of LA-based entertainment collective woman. and their community safety & well-being initiative, soteria. Both aim to create a shift in the way nightlife, entertainment, festivals and community gatherings operate by tackling the issues of harassment, mental health, pay-equity, discrimination, sustainability and justice.
